Biography

I was born in Flörsheim am Main, Germany, in 1996. I am the son of Rene LaPointe and Beth Reddy. My father served in the Army until 2006. I am mostly of Irish descent, primarily from my mother.

I moved to Georgia in 1998. I attended Joseph Martin Elementary School from August 2001 to May 2007, and then Snelson Golden Middle School from August 2007 to May 2010. I began my secondary education at Liberty County High School in August 2010, but moved to Bradwell Institute in January 2012. I graduated in May 2014.

I attended Armstrong State University from August 2014 to May 2016 to pursue a liberal arts degree. I then moved to Massachusetts, where I live now. I am currently attending Berkshire Community College since January 2017.

Digital afterlife

Even though I plan on adding some notable Japanese people to WikiTree for the next 20 years or so, in the event of my passing, I will hand over all of the private Japanese profiles I am managing, including Akihito, to Matt Bryber and Karen Tobo, whether or not they are on my Trusted Lists. For profiles I manage for my family, I will entrust them to Stephen Lapointe.

Nicolas, thanks for all your work on notables and other projects. Do you happen to speak Japanese or other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | be-2 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively and intermediate Belarusian, or you could use fr-3 to specify advanced French or ru-1 for basic Russian, etc. It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree!

If there is a language you speak that is missing from our categories, I would be happy to add it.

Thanks,

Karen

Hi Nicholas

Help:Categorization#How_to_Categorize says Be sure to use the narrowest category possible. That is, always put a profile is the most-specific, lowest-level category you can.

I see you are still creating profiles to which you are adding the Notables template without the parameter so the profiles are added to the top level category instead of an appropriate narrower subcategory.

Please stop doing this.

It's quite easy to add the parameter. It's the pipe symbol, usually above the backslash on keyboards, and the name of the narrower subcategory, as in the example in my previous note on your profile dated 3 Nov 2017.

Thanks for your cooperation

Maryann

Hi Nicholas

When you use the notables template, please add the parameter so the profile is added to an appropriate narrower subcategory, for example, {{Notables|Japanese Notables}}. Thanks

Nicolas, I'll help with the Japanese names if I can - often there are multiple renderings of the same sounds. How shall I help?

Nicholas, it is great that you are adding Japanese notables to WikiTree, as there aren't enough people from other cultures/nations. But remember that most of the name fields should be in the language the person would have used, not English. See the guidelines here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Name_Fields#Use_their_conventions_instead_of_ours

Thank you
