W. LaRose Falls Dead, A Carpenter
William La rose, aged 67 years, fell dead at his home, 1062 Washington St, late yesterday afternoon after descending from the roof which he had been repairing. He had been under the care of Dr Ernest Sostheim for a cardiac condition and his death was attributed to a sudden cardiac attack possibly induced by over exertion. Msgr A D Charboneau, pastor of Notre Dame church of which Mr LaRose was a devoted member, visited the home and anointed the remains, which were later removed to the LaLonde Funeral Home.
Mr LaRose was a carpenter by trade and at different periods had worked for Walter Allen Bell, later as a journeyman and in recent years at Massena. He accepted odd jobs here up to the time of his death.
He was married at Notre Dame church on Aug 6, 1912, to Miss Maude Compo by Rev P O LaRose. He leaves his widow, a son Fred, City: Daughters, Mrs William Whiting and Mrs John Gokey of Massena, Mrs James Denny of Ogdensburg, Mrs Bruce Edwards of DeKalb Junction, three sisters, Mrs Georgiana Rivet, city, Mrs Lena Marlow, Massena, Mrs Flora Rheome, city; also 22 grandchildren.
Mr LaRose was a son of Francis and Rose Lago LaRose, born here Dec 14, 1887.
The funeral of Mr LaRose will be from the family home on Washington St Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and a half hour later from the Notre Dame church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.[FAMILYTR.GED]
