Alexander LaVine was born about 1867. He was the son of Louis and Phoebe Barcume LaVine. He had 15 siblings, His first wife, Effie Peet died in childbirth in 1900. He later married Sarah Bisnett, of Malone, who died in 1949. He worked on the railroad most of his life. Two daughters, Pearl Shatraw and Hazel Seguin and a son Gilbert survived him. A son, Wilber predeceased him in 1954 in Massachusetts. The funeral mass was held at Notre Dame Church with burial in French Hill cemetery, Hopkinton, New York, USA.
