Biography

Jean Labbe was born around 1719. [1] Various sources give different dates and locations of birth. His parents were Jean Labbe and Christine Allard. [2]

He married Jeanne Julie Ozenne on October 26, 1745 in Pointe Coupée. [3]

They were counted on the census of 30 October 1774 in Attakapas, St. Martin, Louisiana, with no children remaining at home, and six unnamed slaves. [5] On the census of 4 May 1777 in Attakapas, St. Martin, Louisiana, they had no children at home, and seven unnamed slaves.[6]

He died on December 11, 1787 in St. Martin, Louisiana. [7]
