Calixte Labossiere was born March 19, 1840 at Sorel and was baptized there the same day. [1] He was the sixth child of seven and the fourth son of five for Francois Labossiere and Francoise Mandeville.

Calixte married Julie Aussant ditte Lange on Aug. 19, 1867 at Sorel. [3] [4] They had six children there including a set of twins and then about 1878-79, they moved to Rhode Island where at least two more children were born.

Calixte Labossiere and his family moved to Rhode Island in 1879 and settled in Woonsocket where they lived for the remainder for their lives.

1905 Rhode Island State Census Providence Woonsocket ED 191 Family 233 Calixti Labossiere, 66. [8] Census date: June 1, 1905. This census has individual record cards for each person.
1910 U.S. census Rhode Island Providence, Woonsocket Ward 1 ED 281 Sheet 13 A lines 27-30: Corlis Labossiere, 76 - laborer; Julie, 72: two children: daughter, Rose, 21; son, John 32. Mother reports she has had five children and three have died. It is more like 10 born and five died. Married 48 years; actually 42. ages also off. [9]
Julie Lange died January 31, 1912 at Woonsocket and is buried there at Precious Blood Cemetery.
Calixte passed away On Feb. 18, 1914 at Woonsocket, R.I. [10] and is buried there at Precious Blood Cemetery.
