Ulric Labossiere was born at St. Leon, MB on July 3, 1883. He was the second of seven children and the second of five sons of Amedee Labossiere and Marie Chretien. two of his siblings, a brother and a sister died young.

Ulric Labossiere married Josephine Wenjowiez at Winnipeg, MB on Feb. 22, 1911. They are believed to have only had two children.

Ulric was one of three brothers to serve overseas with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, C.E.F., in World War I. [5] He served in the 8th. Batallion and was wounded in the head at Vimy Ridge when he was hit by shrapnel and received a fractured skull. He returned to Canada on May 4, 1919 on the S.S. Empress of Britain departing England at Liverpool and arriving back in Canada at Quebec City.

Ulric's wife, Josephine LaBossiere - Wenjowiez passed away at Springfield, MB in 1966 and she was buried there at Green Acres Cemetery. She was about 73 - 74 years old.
