Biography

Luciano Labruzzo, son of Giuseppe Labruzzo and Marianna Jannazzo, marries Rosalia Jannazzo, daughter of Paolo Jannazzo and the late Maria Parrino, on 2 November 1897. Consanguinity is detected, but the couple is permitted to wed.[1] Luciano and Rosalia are first cousins.

Around 1900, Luciano and his brother, Stefano, are named among leadership in the Corleonesi mafia.[2] The brothers are married to sisters.

Luciano and Rosalia have at least three children: Maria (1899), Giuseppe (1902), and Lucia (c. 1926).

Maria is born on 10 February 1899 and baptized 26 February. Her godfather is Salvatore Puccio.[3]

Maria dies at two years of age on 15 December 1901.[4]

Giuseppe dies at eight days of age on 13 November 1902.[5]

Lucia marries Michelangelo Scalisi on 9 February 1946. Her mother, Rosalia, has died by this time.[6]
