DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Frans by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Frans:

Both have the same spouse, though the following should be considered: in the case of http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Labuschagne-59 and http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Labuschagne-15 they might be two brothers, the one having died before the other one got baptised with the same name in 1752 (which was quite often the case / practice in those days). It could also be that it is the same person, the date of birth being 1748 and the date of baptism 1752 (also happened quite frequently in those times, due to illness after birth and or long distances ...). It might also be that it is the same person but that the exact date of birth is an approximate in which case further research is needed).
