Biography

Elizabeth was born on 18 November 1860 at Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. She was the daughter of John Lacey and Catherine Crowley.

She married Richard (Dick) Simson on 5 May 1883 at Wairau, Marlborough, New Zealand. They had the following children together;

1. Caroline May Simson (4 May 1884 - 1970) married William Satherley
2. Isabella Liley Simson (1885 - ) married Brown
3. Helen Simson (1886 - 1886)
4. Richard Arthur Simson (1888 - )
5. Ernest (Scotty) Simson (1889 - )
6. Ivy Marion Simson (1893 - ) married Alfred Richard Topp
7. Margaret Ella Simson (1895 - 1908)
8. Elizabeth Hazel Simson (1898 - )
9. Myrtle Simson (1900 - )
10. Bertie Simson (1902 - )

They settled in Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand in the early 1900's. At least six children were born during their marriage. (See note below about Find a Grave)
