Thomas E. Lacey was born on 10 Aug. 1921[1] at Windsor, New York[2], USA. He appeared on the census of 1 June 1925 in the household of his parents, Joseph Plume Lacey and Ethel Vanila (Smith) Lacey, at Windsor, Broome Co., New York.[3] He appeared on the census of 3 April 1930 in the household of Ethel Vanila Smith at Great Bend, Susquehanna Co., Pennsylvania.[4]
He began military service on 3 May 1943. He ended military service on 5 Nov. 1945.[1]
He married Rita Dean, daughter of Fred and Pearl Dean circa 1946.[2]
He died on 6 April 2009[1] at age 87[2] and was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Great Bend, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[5]

Thomas "Tom" Lacey of Great Bend, PA
Thomas "Tom" Lacey, born August 10, 1921 in Windsor, NY, passed away Monday evening, April 6, 2009. He was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Joseph Lacey; a brother, Alvin Hubbell and wife, Nina Hubbell. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Rita; children, Barbara and Raymond Ingraham and Mary and Gary Davies; five grandchildren, Dan and Kara Davies, Tara Davies, Deana Ingraham-Gurney, Kimberly and Dan Homick, Raymond and Phoebe Ingraham; five great-grandchildren, Lacey, Thomas, and Georgia Homick, Daniel Davies, and Mary Elizabeth Davies, which were the loves of his life; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anna and Fred Stiles; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom served in World War II with 157 (c) Eng. in Europe. He was a life and charter member of the V.F.W. Post #6223 and a life member of the American Legion Post #357. He was a co-founder and member of B.O.D. of Great Bend Ambulance. He retired from I.B.M. in 1983. Later in life he worked for Naturalizer Shoes and Stone's Hardware. Tom was a communicant of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Father Alfred J. Vito. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Hallstead/Great Bend Ambulance Service.[2]
