John was born in 1901. He was the son of Lawrence Lachapelle and Matilda Lyons. He passed away in 1984.
John Louis gave date of birth on Attestation Paper as 1899. There is a notation in handwriting at top of papers saying that John Louis was not to be sent overseas until 19 years of age - he would really only be 17!
