Biography

Giles was born in 1857. He was the son of Isaac Lackey and Ann Eliza Shafer. He passed away in 1918.

Giles Lackey owned land in Grant Township in 1887, he was a farmer. He traded his land to L.J. Price for Mr. Price's residence in Sutherland in Feb/Mar 1888. In November 1888 he moved to Lindon, Washington Co., CO, which is directly east of Denver about 100 miles. They were only there a few years before moving to Xenia, Greene Co., OH, before the 1910 Federal Census.

Before moving to Iowa, Giles and Tina lived in Greene Co., Ohio.
