DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Richard:

Hi Richard,

The England Project Leaders check-in with the members every six months to see how people are getting on. How are you doing? I notice you've dropped out of the Orphan Trail. Is there a particular reason for this? I'd love to have your feedback.

One requirement for membership in the project is that you contribute to a team at least once every six months. Are you willing to rejoin the Trail or would you prefer to leave the project for now and focus on other things? If you do the latter you'd be most welcome to rejoin later on.

Please respond to me via e-mail.

Many thanks,

Susie, England Project Leader :-)

Thank you for starting the conversations about the two Sarah's! When I went into the probate record for Josiah Thayer, I was actually able to solve another mystery, and connected another Thayer to the correct parents, and possibly a lead on another so it was very productive!

So, I did a little digging...and it looks like you (and Elisha Thayer) are right in this case. I posted an additional source that excerpts Philips will.

Hi Richard:

Regarding Sarah Thayer. Its a good idea to find additional sources. The Memorial of the Thayer Name is riddled with errors. This publication has SOME of the errors, but there are many more: https://www.gengophers.com/book.html#/book/10198?page=20

Elisha Thayer relied heavily on the Memorial of the Thayer Name.
