Née Marie Archange Hubert dit Lacroix, daughter of Pierre Hubert and Marie Josephe Morel, was born on 28 September 1772 in Lachine, Province de Québec. She was baptised the same day at Saints-Anges church. Her godparents were François Chenier and Catherine Hubert, sister of the child. ^[1]
Transcription of the baptism act: L'an mil sept cent soixane douze et le vingt huit septembre je soussigné ai baptisé Marie Archange née aujourd'hui, fille légitime de Pierre Hubert dit Lacroix et Marie Josette Mador. Ont été parrain François Chenier et marraine Catherine Hubert soeur de l'enfant qui n'ont sçu signer.

She married Jean Louis Primeau, son of Joseph and Louise Petit dit Lalumière, on 28 Jan 1793 in Châteauguay, Bas-Canada, at Saint-Joachim church. ^[2]
Transcription of the marriage act: Le vingt huitième de janvier L'an mil sept sent quatre vingt treize apres trois publications de bans au prône de la messe paroissialle entre Jean Louis Primault et Marie Lacroix nous soussigné avons recu leur mutuel consentement sans qu'il se soit trouvé aucun empechement et leur avons donné la Benediction nuptiale, selon l'usage de l'eglise Romaine, Etaient presents Joseph Primault, Paul Primault, JBte Gagner, Paul Lacroix qui n'ont scu signer de ce requis.

From this marriage, the following children:

1. Marie Josephe Primeau, orn 15 November 1793 in Châteauguay; married Pierre PITRE 14 Feb 1814 in Châteauguay; died 30 April 1882 in Saint-Clément-de-Beauharnois.
2. Amable Primeau, born 9 July 1795 in Châteauguay; married Jean Baptiste ROUSSEAU on 11 Novemer 1811 in Châteauguay;
3. Louis Primeau, born 22 March 1798 in Châteauguay; married Marie Anne LABERGE on 11 August 1817 in Châteauguay; died 2 March 1872 in Sainte-Martine.
4. Pierre Primeau, born 23 October 1799 in Châteauguay; died 10 November 1799 in Châteauguay.

Marie died 16 Dec 1799 in Châteauguay, Bas-Canada, age 27 (though the burial act states "about 30" and was buried the next day at the Saint-Joachim cemetery. ^[3]
Transcription of the burial act: Le dix septieme de decembre l'an mil sept cent quatre vingt dix neuf par nous a été inhumée Marie Lacroix femme de Jean Louis Primo, laboureur, décédée d'hier agée de rente ans aux environs. Etaient presens Jean Bte Gagnier, Pierre Defond qui n'ont su signer de ce requis.
