Germaine was born of Gaudias Lacroix and Alma Isabelle on May 24, 1919, in Sainte-Euphémie-sur-Rivière-du-Sud (Montmagny, Quebec). She was baptised on the same day in the same parish, and her godparents were Arthur Lacroix and Rosée Ratté, who were her uncle and aunt.[1]
She married Moïse Thibault on September 22, 1941, in Sainte-Euphémie-sur-Rivière-du-Sud.[2] Seven children were born from this union: Rachel, Marcel, Jacques, Jacqueline, Annette, Raymond, and Danielle.
Germaine passed away on February 16, 2015 in Armagh. The funeral was five days later in Sainte-Euphémie, where she had lived for all but the last years of her life.[3] This is also where she was buried, when spring came and inhumation was possible, and she now rests next to her husband.
