Rosalie enrolled in a convent and learned the religious ways and how to be a lady. After those years, she worked in a mill until she met Alexander and married.[1]

She had two sisters Rose Anna (lived in Coaticook all her life) and Amanda (married Eugene La Montague. He was very good in mechanics), and five brothers, David, Joseph (moved to Nashua, NH and had several children), Wilfred (died at an early age of TB), Arthur (spent a lifetime with the Coaticook Police Dept and loved to play hockey) and Hermas (lived in Coaticook all his life). Her brother David and his wife Lodi had 21 children, all single births! David worked in the woods. Theia, the oldest child of David and Lodi, had 17 children.[2]
