Biography

Amy was born in 1881,[1]She was the daughter of Isaiah Lahey and Emma Godfrey.

She married Hugh Charles Mitchell in Queensland in 1910..[2]

MITCHELL-LAHEY.
On Tuesday afternoon at 1.30, a marriage of interest took place at St. Andrews church, lndooroopilly, when Canon Jones married Mr. H. C. Mitchell, of Lismore, and Miss Maud Lahey. daughter of Mr. Isaiah Lahey, of Beaudesert, a niece of Mr. and Mrs. David Leahy, of Greylands, Indooroopilly. The bride is an exceptionally popular girl, and although invitations were limited to relatives and very intimate friends, a large number gathered at the church to witness the ceremony.
The Bride, who was given away by her father, wore a most becoming gown of white palette, daintily arranged with a net yoke and ornamented with beautiful lace. Her exquisitely embroidered veil was lent for the occasion by her sister-in-law, Mrs A. Lahey.
Her sisters the Misses Sylvia and Isa Lahey, who were her bridesmaids, wore dainty frocks of white mousse-of mole coloured more ornabentedmole roses Their bouquets and gold brooches laine de sole inlet with insertion and lace. The former wore a hat of vieux rose, and the latter of mole coloured moire ornamented with mole roses. Their bouquets and gold brooches were the bridgegroom's gifts.
Mr Kenneth Mitchell acted as best man, and Mr Percy Lahey as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Greylands, Indooroopilly and later, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell left for Tweed Heads. The bridge travelled in a smart coat and skirt of mauve Shantung silk braided with black, and a becoming hat of burnt straw trimmed with roses to match the costume. Mrs. Lahey (aunt of the bride) appeared in a handsome black costume, and a black hat ornamented with ostrich feathers.
The catering was carried out by a staff from the Cafe Eschenhagen and the London - Americal Florists supplied the bouquets.

She passed away in 1958.[4]

IN the Supreme Court of New South Wales.—Probate Jurisdiction.—In the will of AMY IDA MAUD MITCHELL, late of Cremorne, in the State of New South Wales, widow, deceased.—Probate granted by the Supreme Court of New South Wales on the 17th September, 1958.—Pursuant to the Wills, Probate and Administration Act, 1898-1954, Testator's Family Maintenance and Guardianship of Infants Act, 1916 1938, and Trustee Act, 1925-1942, Gordon Hugh Mitchell and Joyce St. Clair Wigram, the executors of the will of the said Amy Ida Maud Mitchell, who died on the 31st May, 1958, hereby give notice that creditors and others having any claim against or to the estate of the said deceased are required to send particulars of their claims to the said executors, care of the undersigned on or before the 7th July, 1959, at the expiration of which time the said executors will distribute the assets of the said deceased to the persons entitled, having regard only to the claims of which they then have notice.— Dated the twenty-fourth day of April, 1959.
