Biography
On the 6th June 1841 the family was living at Ravelaw F Houses, Whitsome Parish, Berwickshire. Michael's occupation was given as agricultural labourer.[1] Family home at the time were:

Michael, a widower, along with his sons Henry and Walter, emigrated to the Colonies aboard the Sir W F Williams, arriving in Hobart on the 18th August 1857.[2]
