Maria was married first to Martin Bolanz on 24 May 1810 in Britzingen. It is this marriage record that lists her parents as Friedrich Lais and Anna Stubenvoll (or Stubenwoll).
Maria and Martin had at least three children together, and their son Johann Martin was eleven when Maria remarried to Johann Gassert.
