Georges Lalonde was born on 26 August 1798 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, New Spain. He was baptized at St. Francis in Pointe Coupee Parish on 26 December 1798.[1] He was the son of William Lalonde and Agnes Wiltz.[2]

He and Ursule Boutin, daughter of Paul Boutin and Anaspice Taylor,[2] obtained a marriage license on 14 May 1825 at the Opelousas Courthouse in St. Landry Parish.[3] They were married on 7 June 1825. Witnesses were Albert Lefort, Paul Boutin, Alexandre Castille, and Alexis Mayer. Father Jean Rosti of the St. Charles Borromeo Church in Grand Coteau recorded their marriage in the church registers.[2]
