Actively researching, but I am just an amateur so I'm reluctant to make any changes to this profile, but I have a theory and some supporting evidence.

This Jacob Lamb is possibly the father of Zeno Lamb (1803NC-1884IA), Axum Lamb (Lamb-10962), Sarah Lamb-Summers (1809NC-1850IN) and Thomas Lamb (1815NC-1882IA)

Jacob Lamb and Sarah Stone had removed to Guilford by 1764 (New Garden MM) and so this Jacob Sr and Jr would not be the same Jacobs as the Jacob Jr requesting to go to Preble OH in 1828 from the Piney Woods MM.

I believe this Jacob Lamb moved to Henry Indiana by 1830 and passed away in 1849 in Grant, Indiana where his son Zeno was Admin of his will. The probate record includes info regarding care of his grandchildren Philander and Elizabeth Summers who were living with Zeno's family during the 1850 census. Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy shows Zeno's wife Martha requesting to remove from the Backcreek NC MM to the Driftwood MM in Indiana in 1822. Several offspring of Jacob and Sarah moved on to Indiana and the families include several Zenos and Exums/Axums which I'm hoping is a clue to the correct origin of our Jacob Lamb in Indiana in 1849. I cannot find records or documents anywhere to support Jacob Lamb's (1773-1849) wife's name. I've seen her listed as Rachel Beeson, but cannot find any evidence anywhere.
