Biography

Marion was born in December 1838[1] to Erastus and Mary H Lamb.[2]. In the 1850 Census she is living with her parents Brookfield, Madison, New York. She is attending school with her siblings: Amos, Elwood, and Mary Adelia. [3]

By 1855, Marion moved with her family to a new farm in Hamilton, Madison, New York.[4] She continues living with the family through 1860. On the 1860 Census she lists her occupation as Domestic Servant.[5]

She marries George Miles Bronson between 1860-1863 and moves to Sherburne, Chenango, New York. She has her first child, Fredrick in 1864.[6][7]

By 1870 her mother Mary H Lamb had moved in with her and her husband. They hired Olive Jaquay to help her.[8]

She gave birth to Lenora 1 January 1871.[9] Marion continues to raise her children and keep house on the farm in Sherburne, Chenango, New York through until the death of her husband in 1892. [10][11] and her son, Fredrick in 1896.[12]

By 1900, she is living with Lenora, Lenora's husband, and two granddaughters. They are living in Brookfield, Madison, New York. [13] She died 6 January 1905 in Hamilton, Madison, New York. [14] Marion was laid to rest next to her husband at the Poolville Cemetery in Poolville, Madison, New York.[15]
