Lucy was born in Charlton, Worcester County, Massachusetts, 3 July 1765, the daughter of Abijah Lamb and Betty Wheelock.[1] She married in Charlton, 18 December 1788, Abel Wells.[2]
Lucy is referred to as Lucy Wells in her father's will.[3]
In a Worcester County, Massachusetts, deed dated 15 Oct 1804, she was called Lucy Wells, wife of Abel Wells, of Peacham, Caledonia County, Vermont. In this deed, she and her siblings, all children of Abijah and Betty (Wheelock) Lamb, sold property that Betty Wheelock had inherited from her father, David Wheelock.[4]
She lived in Peacham for about a decade,[5] before moving to Newbury, Orange County, Vermont where she and her husband remained for the rest of their lives.[6][7] She died 1 Sep 1838 in Newbury.[8]
