Biography

Nora Elizabeth Lamb was born on January 4, 1893, in Davis Co., Iowa. She was the daughter of Byron Lamb and Hannah Enlow, her father, Byron, was 42, and her mother, Hannah, was 36.

She married Ira Howell on July 28, 1910, in Schuyler, Missouri. They had five children during their marriage.

She died on February 8, 1970, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 77, and was buried there.

OBITUARY:

Nora married first Ira Pearl Howell on July 31, 1910 in Schuyler County, Missouri. She married second Mr. Gartin. Nora's son Wilbur Roy is listed on her headstone.

"Mrs. Nora E. Gartin, 77, a Resident of Albuquerque for the past several years, died in Albuquerque Sunday, Feb. 8. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lee Olmsted, Mrs. Verna Stockton and Mrs Evelyn DeArmon all of Albuquerque; Two sons, Mr. E.H. (Ike) Howell of Colona, Ill. And W. R. (Curlie) Howell of Albuquerque and one brother, Nelson Lamb of Bloomfield, five grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Feb. 11 in the Chapel in the Garden at French Mortuary in Albuquerque and burial at Sunset Memorial Park, Albuquerque."
