The only marriage record I located for a Hardy Lamb is to Winifred Boswell, 23 Aug 1790, Bertie, NC.  Berie is not adjacent to Wayne county, so I am wondering if this belongs to this Hardy. My guess would be no...
There is a NC land grant to Hardy Lamb dated 24 Apr 1779 in Dobbs, NC for 200 acres 'beginning at Jacob Lamb's corner'. 
Wayne County was formed in Nov 1779 from the western part of Dobbs County. As such, the 1790 census record following would be him.
There is a Hardy Watson on the 1790 Wayne, NC census with 3 males <16, 1 male >16, 4 females.  If this is him, this would be a marriage prior to Winifred Boswell.
His estate was probated May 1811 in Wayne County, NC. I haven't located a will. If someone has it, please add it here.
