Jacqueline was born on August 25, 1924 in St. Louis. She was christened on November 12th of that year, at a Lutheran church near the intersection of Neosho and Michigan in St. Louis.
On April 8 or 9, 1930, she was enumerated in the US Census in St. Louis, Missouri, where her family—she and her parents—lived at 4366 Kingshighway SW. She was attending school at the time[1].
On April 9, 1940, she was enumerated in the US Census in St. Louis, Missouri, where her family—she, her parents, and her younger sister—lived at 3806 Bowen St. They had lived there in 1935, too. She was attending high school at the time[2].
In 1945, she married Jim Knox—he had told her she had to be 21, and the war had to be over, before they could get married. And so after VJ Day on August 15th and her birthday on August 25th, the way was clear to get married! They were married in St. Louis, and she moved to be with him in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where he was working. It was there that their first daughter, Marcia, was born.
On April 13, 1950, she was enumerated in the US Census in St. Louis, Missouri, where her family—she, her husband, and their daughter Marcia—lived at 3927A Dover Pl. She was not working outside the home[3].
She passed away on June 24, 1975.
She was buried in Sunset Memorial Park, with her parents and other family, on June 26, 1975.
