David Daniel Lambert was born in 1812 in Wythe, Virginia to Johan Michael Lambert and Maria (Mary) Michaels Lambert. It is believed that he married Mary Polly Hounshell (marriage record needed) in about 1835 (around the age of 23) and they had at least one son; Jackson Lambert between 1836-1837 (see Jackson's marriage record in research notes). At this time Jackson is the only child verified by sources linked to both: David and Mary (Hounshell) Lambert.
In about 1840 other children are found linked to David; and various sources related to those children (their marriage records) indicate at that time he was married to Margaret Cole (marriage record needed). [1] He is listed with Margaret on the 1850 Census and on the 1860 Census they couple are listed in her mother's (Esther Cole) residence. (See 1850 & 1860 Census in research notes)
It is believed; that in 1864 David served in the Civil War in the 3rd Cavalry (Second Virginia Cavalry) and that he passed away sometime between 1864-1867[2]
