In 1910 he is living in San Antonio, California with his parents, sister Lizzie, and brother Asel. He is 20, and works as a laborer doing odd jobs.[2]
1917 - June 2, registered for draft. Lists his birthdate as June 30, 1889. States he is married and has a baby; lives in Los Angeles; working at an ice plant.[3]
1918 - married Bertha Mcconnaha on December 20 in Los Angeles. [4]
1920 - living in San Antonio, Los Angeles County, with wife Bertha and son Wilburn. (Also in household is Lucille Lambert, age 20, born Illinois; she is listed as his daughter, but that is unlikely given her age. Maybe Bertha's daughter from her first marriage?) Age 33. Painter.[5]
Roy died on January 23, 1929 in San Bernardino.[6]
