Elijah Lambert was born on April 12, 1805 in Kanawha County, Virginia,, probably in an area that became Cabell County, Virginia on 2 January 1809 and then Wayne County, Virginia on 18 January 1842. His parents were Job Lambert (1760 - 1811) and Hannah (Rice) Withrow (1760 - 1859). [1]

Elijah died on April 13, 1879 in Wayne County, West Virginia aged 74. [1]

Note: The Lambert Family Cemetery was started on Elijah's property, probably with his wife being the first one buried there. [4]

Elizabeth WILSON was born about 1805 in Virginia. She had two different death records recorded. The first was from information from her husband, Elijah LAMBERT and it listed that she died on 19 January 1877 in Wayne County, West Virginia [1] at the age of 72 Years, 7 Months and 2 Days old. The second record was from information given by her son [his name is unlisted on the record, the informant is just listed as "son"] and states that her death occurred on 19 January 1878 in Wayne County, West Virginia [5] Her cause of death was unlisted on the death record, but her age was given as 73 years. Her parents were James WILSON [1], [5] and his wife, Sally. [1]

Death

Elijah passed away on 13 Apr 1879. [1] Cause of death is listed as Gravel. Research has two possibilities that showed up in the definitions provided, "Medicine: Aggregations of crystals formed in the urinary tract" [12] or "Pathology: Multiple small calculi formed in the kidneys or the disease characterized by such concretions." [13] While it is unknown if this is the same as the cause of death listed it is the only definitions that I could find that make even partial sense as a cause of death.

I see that his son was also Elijah Lambert.

His date of birth and probable location, leads me to believe his son married VanHoose-318. Only a suspicion, as his date of death, if accurate, might disqualify this.
