^^ Assumes approximate average distance in km to Tourouvre of list's 36 Percheron immigrants
^^^ Though in fact native to the ancient provincers of Normandie, Maine & Beauce, these five pioneers are included as part of the Percheron complement of pioneers born in France to immigrate to Canada due to grouping proximity considerations.

My interest in the Percheron immigration movement has led me to bring Wikitree profiles enhancements for many of the more than 300 Percheron pioneers born in or near France's ancient Perche province to immigrate along both shores of Canada's great Laurentian valley, the bulk of the immigrations having occurred in the three decades starting in 1632. The appeal of these enhanced Percheron profiles includes:

  1. criteria for inclusion as part of the Percheron immigration movement based on being included in lists shown in the and websites and in Gervais Carpin's thesis.
  2. their current standard profile formatting
  3. their alphabetical and chronological cross-referencing with Percheron Immigration Category.

My ancestor Aubin Lambert immigrated before 1662 from Touvouvre in ancient Perche province to Québec. He lived at Québec where he married Élisabeth Aubert in 1670 when they settled and had their first 8 children in the seigneurie de Maur not far from Québec on the west side on the North shore of the St. Lawrence River . Their last 2 children were born in the seigneurie de Lauzon on the South shore of the St. Lawrence River and opposite the siegneurie de Maur.

Descendants of Aubin Lambert's sixth child, Michel Lambert eventually settled in the Trois-Rivières and Shawinigan area of the Laurentian Valley.

Three sons (including my great-grand-father Napoleon) of Louis Lambert and Madeleine Drolet settled in southern Manitoba between the late 1870s and the 1880s.

I didn't see any problems with the tables working. I put a link to it at the top of the Category page. Let me know what you think.

Bonjour Claude,

I am looking at "Category: Percheron Immigration". It is an impressive work. However, it is a very long Category and would probably be more appropriate for a Space instead of Category. Long Categories cause a decrease in performance of Wikitree. Categories should only have a small amount of text clarifying the profile. It would be easy to cut and paste what you have to a Space.

Bonjour Claude,

Merci d'avance.

hello Claude,

can you explain your logic on going around and making a comment on name variations lists from PRDH on various profiles? PRDH lists are general, not all variations apply to an individual profile.
