Biography

Jonathan was born about 1740. He is the son of Daniel Lambert and Mary Randolph. He passed away in 1796. [1]

DEEDS: LAMBERT DEED, HARRISON CO, WV[3] DEED BOOK 6 PAGES 13 & 14 The heirs of Jonathan Lambert, deceased, To // Deed William Lambert, 300 Acres This Indenture made the second day of September Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and five between Benjamin Holden & Ann, his wife, late Ann Lambert, William Davis and Hannah his wife, late Hannah Lambert , Robert Parks and Susina his wife late Susina Lambert, John Lambert, Amos Lambert and Sarah his wife, Josias Lambert & Aaron Lambert (which said Ann, Hannah, Susina, John, Amos, Josias & Aaron are the children, heirs & representatives of Jonathan Lambert deceased) All of the County of Harrison and State of Virginia of the one part and William Lambert, the remaining child heir & legal representative of the said Jonathan Lambert deceased of the same place of the other part WITNESSETH that they the said Benjamin, Ann, William,Hannah, Robert, Susina, John, Amos, Sarah, Josias and Aaron, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained, granted and sold & by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto the said William Lambert his heirs and assigns forever all their respective rights, Tittles & interests in and to the tract of land hereinafter described & to which a la which they claim respectively undivided portions as the heirs and legal representatives of the said Jonathan Lambert deceased Situate lying and being in the County of Harrison and State of Virginia on both sides of the Brushy Fork of Elk Creek and bounded as followeth To-Wit: Begining at three white oaks Caleb Stoule corner thence South 210 poles crossing said fork is a poplar & 74 E 160 poles to the Lines 269 poles by Craigheads line to a poplar thence North to a line of Cale Steu is and along the line to the begining containing three hundred acres to have and to hold the said tract of land and its appurtenances unto the said William Lambert and his heirs forever and they the said Benjamin, Ann, William, Hannah, Robert, Susina, John, Amos, Sarah, Josias, & Aaron for themselves their heirs. Do covenant that they will forever warrant and defend the said tract of land unto the said William Lambert his heirs and assigns from themselves their heirs & assigns & from all persons laying any lawfull claimthereto under them or either of them. In witness whereof they have hereunto set their hands and seals the day & year above written. Resolved, as the opinion of this committee, that the petition of Jonathan Lambert and Christopher Baker, praying to be allowed for their services as soldiers in Capt. Lowther's Co. of Militia, their names being omitted in the pay roll, is reasonable, and that the said Jonathan Lambert ought to be allowed the sum of 1 l. 5 s. 6d. the amount of his pay for 17 days, and the said Christopher Baker the sum of 9 l. 18 s. for 132 days. _________________________________________
