When Joseph H Lambert was born on April 7, 1849, in Tishomingo, Mississippi, his father, James, was 30 and his mother, Lucretia, was 26. He married Fannie Holder or Hutton (Lambert) in August 1870 in Mississippi. They had nine children in 23 years. He died on April 17, 1937, in Burnsville, Mississippi, at the age of 88, and was buried there.
