1861, 48 year old, Minister Of Southend Emited Presbyterian Chapel, James Lambie was living in the U P Manse, Southend, Argyll, Scotland with his second wife, Agnes (age 38), children, Jessie (16), Eliza (15) and William (1); boarders, Thomas Hinshaw (25) and James Hinshaw (19); visitor, Jean A Jaffray (22); and servants Christina Campbell (22) and Isabella Mckendrick (23)[4]
Agnes Colquhoun Jaffray and James Lambie were married on 7 May 1857 in Glasgow Cathcart, Lanarkshire, Scotland[5].
Rev. James Lambie came to Australia with his family on the "Winifred" in 1863.[6][7][8][9] They set sail from London, England on 9 January 1866 and arrived in Hobson's Bay, Colony of Victoria on 7 April 1863.

The family settled at Melton, where James ministered in the Werribee River region.[10]
He passed away on 3 May 1884 in Prahran, Victoria, Australia[11][12] and was buried at the St. Kilda Cemetery, St Kilda, Port Phillip City, Victoria, Australia[13].
