DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:

I found a possible connection with Charlotte County, VA:

On May 5, 1774, Samuel Ashworth of Charlotte County borrowed 25 pounds from John Hight. In this same document, he sells two enslaved girls for 5 shillings, Letty (about 12 years of age) and Judy (about 9 years of age) in what appears to be surety for the debt. The transaction was witnessed by John Walls, Ball Baker, and Richard Lamkin (possibly Lamkin-233 who has family in Charlotte County).<ref>Charlotte County Deed Book D, Number 3 (?), pp. 425-426, Charlotte County Courthouse, Virginia</ref>
