Daniel was born on 2 Mar 1793 in Inverchaolain, Argyll, Scotland. He was the son of John Lamont and Catherine Macphorich Lamont.
He married Isabella Lamont.
He died on 31 Jul 1830 in Delaware, New York. He was buried in Flats Cemetery.[1]
