I am descended from Daniel Souchay de la Duboissière 1645 • Orléans, Loiret, Centre-Val de Loire, France. They moved to Hanau, Main-Kinzig-Kreis, Hesse, Germany, then again to Frankfurt and finally Lubeck Germany. They shortened thier name to Souchay. Esaie Souchaÿ is my Great-grandfather x6.
TY Ron for honoring my Huguenot badge. I am very proud of that line - kinda gives ya fuzzy feeling when your ancestors are recognized. When you get a chance, could you please send me a not as to how to get the badge on my site. Shows ya I am a newbie! Diane Kepus
Hi Ron, I wonder if you might help me again, Croker-24 is, and Fortescue-24 seems to be the parent of Croker-21. A comment I made in a few years ago from some research I had explored, removed Elizabeth Yeo as the mother of John Croker , Croker-21. Unfortunately Croker -21 was then left motherless. Could you take a look at these profiles and amend them if you feel it is appropriate.
I have traced my ancestry to William de Willoughby (abt. 1170- bef. 1227). I believe his father or grandfather was Godfred Ollobik (the first Willoughby) a Viking who migrated to England.
Would appreciate any information pertaining to William de Willoughby's ancestors.
Regards, jim willoughby
Hi Ron - thanks so much for doing the profile work to straighten out the parents of Grace Hall (Hall-42929). Doing some detective work and adding two more ancestors to my tree was fun, but pros like you are so very good at building the WT profiles and finding/verifying sources . I could not have done that. Who would have thought that the book "Shakespeare's Wife" could be a source.
Hi Ron, as the manager of John Bonville ( Bonville-6) I am wondering if you could add his son John who is a direct ancestor of Agnes Bonville, (Bonville-95) and of Diana, Princess of Wales and Prince William through Mary (Croker) Buteel. Agnes Bonville's lineage is clearly delineated in the Visitation of Devon as compiled by Vivien. I am happy to create the profiles back to 1500, if you didnt wish to do them.
Ron thanks for the work you did on Grace Roberts’s data, bUT she isn’t in Holy seplicure cemetery. She is actually in Falls Cemetery in Greece NY, laid to rest next to Edward
You are very welcome John! I added five paternal generations and connected her to the main family line. It looks like her information has already been corrected on Find-a-Grave. You can also request for a volunteer to take a photo of her gravestone.
Thank you Ron for the fantastic additions to my great-great grandmother Catherine Eave Hause (formerly Deissinger)'s page. I'm still combing through that side of my family tree and hadn't added sources as well as I should have been done...you have improved it enormously!!
Thanks for the thank you! I am now untangling the d'Estouteville/Stuteville mess that has been left behind for quite a while now. There is a lot of uncertainty in this family after the de Torcy split, which I have been working on which was not built. Talbot appears in multiple generations of d'Estouteville and your profiles were the ones that matched up with what was correct.
Also a good modern source for the various medieval royal Spanish families is Jaime de Salazar y Acha, 'Las dinastías reales de España en la Edad Media' which is free to download from https://www.boe.es/biblioteca_juridica/publicacion.php?id=PUB-DH-2021-233
It's in Spanish but reasonably easy to understand with a bit of help from an online translation service.
I know that we both have been cleaning up this line and merging the various duplicate pedigrees, and a consensus on a LNAB would be the next step forward. I had left a reply to your G2G question, but there has been no recent updates. Once an accepted LNAB is decided, then we can follow through with the final merges and correct the remaining relationships for this dynasty.
Ron, here's a copy of the Huguenot note I just sent Chet:
Chet, tomorrow's WikiTree Challenge kick-off with sci-fi/fantasy author Lois McMaster Bujold will surely lead us to a Huguenot Jerauld/Gerould family including colonial Massachusetts resident Gamaliel Gerould and his immigrant father Jacques Jerauld. Beginning tomorrow at noon EDT, would your members like to help us spruce up and add to the family so that we might highlight the project and benefit from your project expertise? We'll be on the WikiTree Discord and here in the branches of her tree, assuming we can keep our noses out of her enjoyable novels.
Thank you for your contributions to the Zollinger tree. My mother was a Zollinger and I am trying to find information about my ancestor (Johan) Peter Zollinger who was in Abbottstown, York, PA after about 1768 where he is listed with the original members of the Reformed Church there. He remained there and is buried in that church cemetery but we do not know where he was born and when he came to PA. Do you have any information on him?
THANK YOU for adding my great great grandparents, Louis and Cornelia (Tourson) Auby! I was going to add their lines eventually as none of the family is on WikiTree at all. Louis was married twice because Cornelia died at 31 of cancer. I do appreciate it.
Thank-you for updating the Meinell tree in the Medieval period. I'm trying to figure out the placement of Robert Meinell/Meyell of Hilton (in1492). Would you help? His profile is Meynell-121.
Thank you for your participation in October 2020’s Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.

I've asked a question in G2G about the best LNAB to use for Rodrigo, Count of Castile that you might like to provide some input. https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1488194/what-lnab-to-use-for-rodrigo-count-of-castile
