Biography

John was born in 1940. He was the son of Carson Lampkin and Wanda Eaves. He passed away in 2010.

LAMPKIN, John - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Lampkin on the evening of October 18th in the comfort of his own home with family and friends by his side. Born on January 21st, 1940 in Ingersoll, Ontario, John was a very young and active 70 year old. John is survived by his wife, and best friend Sharon, who lives in Little Elm, TX, his daughter Tracey Podgers (Morgan) of Hamilton, ON, his son, Jeffrey Lampkin of Sarnia, ON, and his cherished father Carson Lampkin, also of Sarnia. He was predeceased by his mother Wanda in 2005. Beloved grandfather of Nicki Ringler (Luke), Jordan Brown (Danielle), and Raeanne Brown (Derek) all of Ontario, and great -grandfather of Austin and Ella Ringler. Also left to mourn his loss is his sister Pat Finn (Bryan) of Sarnia, ON and his brother Willard Lampkin (Shirley) of London, ON. He will be missed by his nieces Dawn Finn (Brad), Cara Lehman (John), Leslie Lampkin (Scott), nephews Brad Lampkin (Cheryl), Brian Lampkin (Laura), their families and many cousins and aunts. John is also survived by his step- daughters, Michelle Stoddard and her children, Chase, Dylan and Alexandria of Vincennes, IN, and Deanna Muench of Los Angeles, CA. A former real estate agent in Sarnia and a member of the Sertoma Club, John was an active volunteer for many charitable organizations in Sarnia. He played Oldtimer hockey well into his sixties. John's loves were his family, hockey, his puppies, wining and dining with his friends, travelling and enjoying the many festivals and concerts that are available in and around Dallas, TX. The family would like to thank their relatives and friends for all the support that has been given during the time of John's illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6th, at the Guildwood Inn, Oak Room, 1400 Venetian Blvd., Pt. Edward. Memorial donations in John's name may be made to Canadian Cancer Society (Brain Cancer), 714 Lite Street, Point Edward, ON N7V 1A6. John, you are greatly loved and will be missed! 9593733
