John Lancaster was born on 29 May 1792 in Smith County, Tennessee, United States, son of William L Lancaster (1762–<1820) and Rhoda Smith (~1765–~1820).[citation needed]
He married Mary Ann Tubbs about 1812. [citation needed] Together they had Cynthia, Samuel....
He married Clarissa Decker. Their children were William, Mary, Fredrick, John, Rhoda, Leroy, Lemuel, and Margaret. John Lancaster brought his family to Arkansas in 1844.
He passed away in 1855. He is buried at Round Bottom Cemetery in Stone County, Arkansas.[1]
Stone County wasn't formed until 1873 out of Izard County. John lived the part of Izard County that is now Stone County.
