Richard was born in Lancashire, England about 1766.[1] He was a cotton weaver. He married Elizabeth Catterall in 1784.[2] They were with their daughter Elizabeth Woods in Preston in 1841. Richard died in Preston, Lancashire in 1848 age 82.[3]
