William was born in 1836. He passed away in 1912.
In 1880, the Lancaster family lived in Wayne, Doniphan, Kansas. The family included William L. Lancaster, 44, born in Missouri, a farmer; his wife, S.C., 35, born in Missouri; their children, all born in Kansas, Emma, 14; George, 12, a farmer; Hattie, 10; Lydia, 7; Frank, 5; and Dora, 3. All of the children were in school, except for the youngest two. [1]
In 1900, the Lancaster family lived in Brenner, Doniphan, Kansas. The town was in the western part of Wayne Township. The household included William Lancaster, 64, born in Missouri in March 1836, a farmer; his wife of forty years, Katie, 55, born in Missouri in Jan. 1845; their children, all born in Kansas, Frank, 24, b. Sept. 1876, a laborer; James, 19, b. 1881, a laborer; Effie, 18, b. 1882, a laborer; Mary, 16, b. 1884; Rosia, 13, b. 1887; and Abby, 9, b. Feb. 1891. [2]
