Biography
Constable of Taunton castle, 1597. [1]
Edward married Frances or Francesca Roe, daughter and one of the co-heiresses of Edmund Roe of Cheddar, Somerset. [2]
He passed away in 1640.
"EDWARD LANCASTER,1 of Milverton, Somerset, Esq. Will dated Dec. 12,1634, proved June 7, 1640, by Joan Lancaster, the relict. [96 Coventry Poor of Milverton, 5. To my wife Joane, lands & house which I bought of Mr Robert Perry & Mr John Mallett. My grandchild John Lancaster, the younger. Codicil, Oct. 1,1639. Further Admon. July 9,1647, granted to John Lancaster, son of dec".
Buried at Milverton, April 29, 1630, Mrs. Anstice, 2nd wife of Mr.Edward Lancaster, Esq'. [He married 1st Frances, d. of Edmund Roo, of Cheddar. 66.]"[3]
