Biography

Thomas Allen Lancaster was the youngest of three sons and one daughter born to William Allen and Judith Williamson Lancaster in Henrico Virginia. Samuel, Mary, William and Thomas , in that order. Their father was killed in 1778 while fighting in the War and their mother died soon after. They were raised by a great Aunt, Mary Lancaster, coming to Tennessee with their father’s brother,John Lancaster, Jr. Thomas was born about 1875 and died in Lancaster, Tennessee in 1855. Thomas married his cousin Frances Lancaster and they also had three sons and a daughter, William, Judith,Thomas Jr and Micheal Lancaster. My mother, Kate Lancaster, was the granddaughter of Thomas ,Jr. Her father was Thomas Jefferson Lancaster , 1851-1941.
