Biography

Josephine was born 16 Jan 1885 in Ontario, Canada to Michael Lance and Octavia DesJardin.

When Josephine was 6 years old, the 1891 Census of Canada showed her living in Renfrew North, Ontario, Canada.^[1]

Sometime before the 1900 US Census, she and her family moved to Gentilly Township, Polk County, Minnesota.^[2]

She married Cornelius "Con" Scully on 19 Feb 1912 in Polk County, Minnesota.^[3] Con operated a furniture store for many years, and he died in 1947.

Josephine died 20 Jul 1968.^[4]

Research Notes

• Her obituary on Find-a-Grave states that she was born in Dorothy, Minnesota, but the 1891 Canada census and the 1900 US census both indicate that she was born in Canada. -- Fiscus-32 19:20, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
