Martha was born in 1869[1] in Hull, Yorkshire, England, where she lived with her parents at 11 Mason Street in 1881.[2] They had moved to 5 Princess Street by 1891, when Martha worked as a domestic servant.[3]
In 1894 Martha married Charles William GABLE.[4] The family lived at 50 Chatham Street, Battersea, London.[5][6]
