Biography
Peter was born in 1775 in Salem, Massachusetts.
He was the child of Rebecca and Captain Peter Lander, and the uncle of Civil War veteran Major John Whittier Messer Appleton of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
Death
He passed away in 1832 due to angina pectoris.
