She was the second wife of Thomas A.Smith and the sister to Thomas first wife, Lucy Landers .
Anniston (AL) Star, Feb. 1, 1937, p.3 Funeral services for Mrs. Sara E. Smith, age 76, who died at her home near Jacksonville Sunday morning following an illness of about a year, were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at New Liberty Baptist church by the Rev. M. F. Humphries. Interment was in Landers Cemetery, with Usrey directing.
Mrs. Smith was a native of this county and had spent practically all of her life near Jacksonville.
She is survived by five sons, Clyde of Gulfport, Miss; Homer of Jacksonville, Fla; and Eugene Felton and Earl all of Jacksonville, and a daughter, Mrs. A. D. Farrar of Mt. Carmel, Ill.
