Jean-Baptiste, Rosalie and their 15-months-old son Firmin were deported to France in 1758 aboard one of the infamous "Five English ships" (Yarmouth, Patience, Mathias, Restoration, John Samuel). Their son Firmin died at sea during the crossing. Jean-Baptiste and Rosalie disembarked in Saint-Malo on January 23, 1759. She died soon after arrival, in March. [2]
The cited baptism record doesn't appear in the handwritten transcriptions of the St-Charles-des-Mines parish records at Canadiana Heritage.
