Biography

Athanase Landry was born on December 27, 1790 in the Attakapas territory governed by Spain and where Catholic priests recorded life events at St. Martin Parish Church. When he married, his home was noted to be Cote Gelee, a small village near Broussard, now St. Martin Parish, Louisiana. His parents were Basile Landry and Anne Marie Mire. [1]
He married Adelaide Girouard on April 04, 1815.
