Adolphe was born in 1817, the son of Pierre Landry and Marie Salomee Roy dit Desjardins. He married at age 25, and all his children were born in Bas-Canada. Between 1871 and 1880, he moved his family to New Hampshire. His wife died there in 1880, and he returned to Canada the next year. Adolphe passed away in 1900 at 82 years old.
