Biography

Jean Baptiste was born in 1764, the son of François Landry and Agnes Thibodeau. He married at age 26 and was widowed at 58. Jean Baptiste never remarried, and passed away in 1840 at 75 years old. His last name is sometimes spelled as Landril.

Please note, his brother, Joseph Landry, also married a woman named Euphrosine Paradis, whose father was also named Antoine Paradis, but whose mother was Martha Lavoie. Baptismal records for their children list Jean Baptiste and Joseph by their correct first names.
